The Best Free Logo Makers In The Market

Logos are important for business, who doesn’t know that?

But not everyone is ready to pay for a logo designer at the start of their business. It’s risky, adds another cost and who knows, you might change your business name later!

Happens all too often.

Now that is not to say hiring a professional logo designer is not worth it. It is; only IF you are sure of your business name or you don’t mind paying a few bucks to get it done (saves time and energy).

Now coming back to the topic;

For this post, I extensively researched and weeded out all the “free” logo makers that give you an extremely low-quality file after you design for hours (or demand you pay for hd file) that is NOT worth using anywhere professional to straight up demanding a fee after you design your logo because ‘logo “maker” is free but downloading and using the logo is not’. What blueberry fudgery is this?!

Anyways, after much research and trying many free logo makers myself, I finally found a few FREE sites that can build your logo professionally!

So, let’s go!

A few things to remember:

  • None of the logo makers offer a transparent background except Canva Pro
  • You need to check if you can use the logo icons & fonts commercially
  • It’s much better to use a graphic designing software for creating logos than to use free logo makers
  • You will need to sign up or create an account to download your logo
  • If you only want text in your logo, use Photopea
  • If you want a unique & professional logo with the least amount of time, money & effort, better to hire a logo designer on Fiverr for cheap

Hatchful

Hatchful is a Shopify logo Maker that has hundreds of various logo templates that you can customize to your liking.

You can add icons, change fonts and colors and basically edit them to make your own professional business logo.

One thing I like about Hatchful is that it has plenty of logo design templates for each industry or business niche. From beauty, fashion, and food logos to financial, automotive, furniture, and even tech niches.

Though, It would have been much better if we could manually edit the templates. Hatchful only allows you to customize colors and fonts. You cannot align the icons or manually play with your template.

After designing your logo, you can download it in a high-resolution PNG file to use it. You can also edit the logo and download the file again if you are not satisfied with your previous version. You need to sign up to download your png file.

Canva Logo Maker

Canva has an extensive library of logo templates, icons, and graphics to choose from.

Since Canva is a graphic designing software, the possibility of creating unique logos is very high. You can change fonts, and colors, edit the templates, add icons and graphics or make a new logo from scratch.

You can even set your own custom dimensions to design your logo. This is what I also love about Canva. I do not make a logo in 500×500 dimensions. I use at least 1000×1000 or more. You can always shrink it but it gets grainy when you stretch it too much.

You can even invite someone as a contributor to your template so you both can design together.

In short, you can create a professional and sleek logo in minutes without worrying about looking like a total slack or noob. Aside from logos, you can also create business cards, labels, flyers, social media posts, and much more.

Canva free is more than enough to design your professional logo BUT I highly recommend taking advantage of their free trial so you can get access to Canva Pro for 30 days straight.

This way, you can unlock the best of the best templates, icons, and fonts to design your logo plus you can make your logo background transparent without needing third-party software.

Try Canva Pro for 30 days!

Ucraft

Ucraft also has a free logo maker to design your own professional logo without paying a cent. It has thousands of icons to choose from in its library.

You can change the color of your icons and text and manually align them if you want to.

Font options are pretty limited but they are enough if you just want something professional quickly.

It doesn’t offer any logo design templates so you have to build from scratch. But you have full control over how you want to customize and align your graphics which is great.

After designing your logo, you have to sign up to create an account and finally download your png file for free. You can also pay $7 to get an SVG file.

Adobe Express Logo Maker

Adobe express is a graphic designing software like Canva. While adobe express is a paid software, its logo maker is free for all to use.

You can create a professional logo within minutes and it also gives you AI-generated suggestions like hatchful.

You can edit the template to your liking or create a new logo from scratch.

You will have limited options to edit your logo if you are using a mobile phone. But the desktop version gives you a lot of design options.

Adobe logo maker offers hundreds of icons BUT like I said before, you need to check if the icons you are using are commercially available for free.

Many free logo makers state that in their terms of use. So you need to be mindful of that.

After designing your logo, you create an account and your logo is emailed to your inbox! The logo is available in a PNG file.

Namecheap Logo Maker

Namecheap Logo Maker thoroughly guides you to create your own logo.

After visiting their free logo maker, you are asked some questions about your business, and you are required to select if your logo in mind is bold, modern, elegant, decorative, etc.

Then you are required to select 6 fonts you would like for your business identity.

I was pretty confused at first but then after visiting I understood that the fonts I chose at the start will be the only available fonts for the template. But you can always make a new one.

There are a lot of colors and icons to play with which is great. But you have limited access to manually play, edit or align your template like hatchful.

To download, save or share your logo, you need to sign up and make an account with NameCheap.

Bonus: Fiverr Logo Maker (Paid)

The only paid option on this list. Fiverr logo maker asks you questions about your business and lets you create your professional logo for free.

But it charges you after you are satisfied with your logo and want to use it commercially.

There are hundreds of templates to choose from and you can edit and play with your template as you want. Also, they show you many professional logos other designers have made to give you ideas about your own logo.

You can hire a designer on Fiverr if you want your logo to get a more sophisticated and professional touch (paid of course).

Fiverr Logo Maker package starts from $30. And the upper limit is a little bit over $50.

And if you just want a professional logo without having to make it yourself, then it’s much more cost and time efficient to hire one on Fiverr than to use a Fiverr logo maker.

But if you want to personally make your own, then this is a good option you can consider.

Conclusion

Wrapping up, these are the few sites that caught my eyes out of the many dozens I came across. Logo makers are best if you want something professional quickly.

Personally, I always use a graphic designing software like Canva to design logos because I get maximum creative freedom.

Or you just hire someone to do it for you.

Saves so much time, money, and effort.

And if you want something text-based, then use Photopea. It’s a free online graphic designing software like Adobe Photoshop.

You can make a transparent background, set your own custom dimensions, and use hundreds of fonts in its font library totally for free.

Creating a professional logo is important for the business but, you don’t want to spend and waste a lot of time on this. It’s just one tiny but significant step in making your business idea a reality.

So folks, don’t get stuck in the launch phase!

I hope this post was helpful. Tell me what you guys used to create and design your logos!
